O ring replacement

Has anyone had to change the o-ring gasket on the oil cooler. I blew the o-ring and it looks like their is only one bolt in the middle connecting it to the block. Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

Did you find a new o-ring yet , they are discontinued from gm. Your right you just take off the big nut in the middle to get to it. Put a little vaseline on the o-ring -thin coat - and it won't stick or tear as quick if you ever have to take it off again.

No I haven't found one yet. I was going to try ATR. Do you know anyone else that has them???

Do you mean the quad seal?

I know this is old and I don't know if you found one but I needed one at one time and I was told to buy a new oil filter and just pull the rubber ring at the top off.

If you need an actual o-ring I apologize for this post.

Yes I found the at Johns Performance. I think the one I pulled out when I replaced it was a gasket from an oil filter. Obviously not quite as strong as the o-ring, but I did order a few extras just incase.
