My next move is to powdercoat them black.

Nice stance!

My personal opinion is that going all-black, with wheels, headlight & taillight covers/tints and everything else, is too much black. Nowadays everybody is doing the "murdered out" look and the GN was the original "murdered out" car before that even became a trend. And most of the time, especially the flat-black jobs you see everywhere, it actually looks like shat. The most black I'd go for a set of wheels is with the black centers and a chrome or polished outer ring. But that's just me; the black needs some contrast to set it off.

EDIT: I imagine people go for the more, more black because it looks badass...but let's face it, the Turbo Buicks already ooze badass from every inch of that sledgehammer-like body, so they don't really need more. Haha!

Don't think I ever posted these pics. GTA wheels powder coated black centers with Toyo R888 tires in 255/50/16 all around.

Agreed, everyone has their opinions. I have a plan of what I am looking to do, and I am 100% positive it will be awesome in the end. I will say this, flat black (plasti-dipped) wheels look terrible IMHO.

I don't know who's car this is... But this looks pretty bad ass. Not what I am doing, but it's bad ass!

Wild 87, I completely agree. That car has "Don't f*ck with me" written all, over it.
Except for one major issue. It's sitting on a trailer. You can't be bad ass on a trailer.

Ya, I get that...... But when I used to race my Chevelle, I'd trailer it too..... Just in case I broke something....and I wouldn't have to fiddle with changing the slicks to street tires, and recorking the headers and all that not-too-fun stuff...

I actually read through this entire thread to get a feel for some things, as well as to check out the pictures. Who doesn't like car porn? I was surprised that there aren't too many burgundy/maroon cars.

Lots of you guys/gals have awesome cars with sweet wheels and other goodies. A while back life threw a financial curve ball at me, and I do the best I can with what I have to work with. I wanted some new shoes on the car, so ordered up some AR 23s. 15X8 for the rear, and 15X7 for the front. They ain't fancy, but its a different look.

Wheels: American Racing 23
15 X 8 Rear
15 X 7 Front

Front B/S: Unknown
Rear B/S: Unknown (but its a 19mm offset)

Tires:

Rear: Nitto NT555R Extreme DR 255/70/15
Front: El Cheapo Tire, 215/65 R 15 (stock)

I also replaced the rear springs with progressive springs, and put new Bilsteins on all 4 corners. Currently the rear is a little higher than I'd like it (the pictures make it appear even worse, since the car was parked on a slight angle), but I think the rear should settle down 1/2 an inch or so once those springs get a few miles on them.

I've always liked 5 spokes on the GN's and Regal T's, kind of like Keystone classics on an early '70's Nova or the Crager SS on a mid '70's Camaro. It just looks right.

Offset on the rear wheel and was any spacer or adapter used? Any other changes to make them fit?

Very nice by the way.

Thanks .I went with 4.75 backspacing front/back and no spacers are needed for the back. Doesn't rub and rear fenders haven't been rolled , will say that it is pretty close to the passengers side frame though.

Mine just got 15 x 7 with P235/60R15 on the front and 15 x 8 with P255/60R15 on the rear. I really like the look.

It looks like I'll be moving my 235/60R15's from my rears to the fronts, and add P255/60R15 drag radials to the rears...next spring! My rear wheels are 8.5" wide but I might have been sold wheels with the wrong backspacing...I'll have to look into it.

I can't really change the wheels because I've always loved this style, and the deeper dish look in the rear.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. The paint is not OEM, but it was done about 11 years ago. The guy that I bought the car from had it done in Midland, TX. The fellow who painted it has moved on, but I don't know where he went to.
