Hi all,

I see I have arrived at the right place for good info on turbo bucks. I just got my first Buick Grand National about a week ago and from what I can tell I have gotten a pretty good car. 1986 with 69000 original miles. I had a member from the forum stop by and answer a few of my many questions I have. It's good to know I have a few guys like him around to help. He said this was the best place for everything for the gn's and after seeing the monster turbo sitting in his front seat I believe him. So hi to everyone one here, and I can't wait to see your monster turboed gn running around Franklin Oh. Thanks in advance to everyone who helps me out with my gn questions, Jeremy

Jeremy,

Welcome aboard. Make yourself at home. The natives are friendly and there's beer in the fridge. Anything modded on your car, or is it a stocker?

Happy spooling.

Mike Barnard

Thanks for the welcome Mike
She is fairly stock with a couple of things. Adjustable wastegate, injectors, regulator, air intake, exhaust, and some trany work. I love the car its running about 15psi, from what I've seen mines stock and I haven't really decided on going all out on it. But it's so tempting I am sure a lot of have the same feelings.

Welcome! I live in the Cincinnati area. You should come down to Edgewater on Thursday 7:30-12am. BEst cruise in ever and you can take your car down the track too. Find me down there and I can help ya out.

Hey oil man, my car came from the east side of Columbus. The guy that I got it from said his brother owned it then sold it to somebody and then he had bought it off of them. I have not ran a car fax and I only know of three owners of the car. It is a possibility it came from Pitt I know it was repainted and it has an 87 grill in it. The emblem on the trunk was put on the right side. I don't know if it's the car you are thinking of but if you have any info that would be great. Jeremy

Hey KevinB, be watching for me to come on down to cincy, from the looks of it your car is d$$m healthy. Maybe you could hook me up with some tips thanks for the invite. Jeremy.

Thanks for all the support it's great to know I have so many local people to help me out I am looking through the car trying to get use to it. I have noticed a chip in the computer it has a tag on it I can't read the top but it looks like psomething bull 2 or something like that, does that ring any bells to anyone?

Sounds like an old atr pit bull chip. Pretty dated. A lot better stuff out there now. Turbo tweak chips are the newest generation chips. Its best to get someone who knows what they are looking at take a peak at your car and give you an idea of what you got and maybe give you some recommendations. What do you want to do with the car?

Thanks Kevin, I really haven't decided what to do yet. I would say I would like to keep it streetable and do just some reliability mods. I know if I get too far into it then I won't be able to stop, right now I enjoy driving the car too much to go all out on it:)

I'd fight the urge and keep it stockish for now and enjoy it. One mod leads to another. Before you know it your addicted.
