oil additives for 98 regal gs

any suggestions on good oil additives? I'm using royal purple 5-30 oil would like extra protection.

How do you like the Rp so far? I have ran it in my Impala SS with the L67 now for about 5K miles. I didn't get the increased fuel milage that they said I would though. Maybe picked up a tenth of a mpg. Seems to be good stuff other wise. As for as additives, I'm not sure. I just wanted to chime in on the RP.

Well I was running mobile1 before I went to rp seems like the motor is spinning faster and smoother in my 98 gs. Not to sure on the gas mileage since I'm usually always on the gas but Im pretty happy with it.

I would say no additives. You are already running a good oil that is a good amount of $$ to boot. No need to waste your $$ on additives.

i say no additives as well. to me the whole additive market is a racket, most of their stuff only does something to put a bandaid on a problem that has already occurred, i don't see it being a preventative measure. they will tell you it does this and it does that... but really changing the oil and filter on a regular basis is all you need.
