Which filter do you guys use? Where I use to get the PF-52 stop carrying it so I ran out and have to find a different filter to use. I heard the Frams are not good for our cars...

Anyone go that link that did tests on all the different brands of oil filters?

I hate Frams because that black crap they put on it for grip flakes off. When you go to change the oil it all comes off in your hand

I use wix , but I have a remote filter . It's a NAPA 1515 filter.

Don't know if this is the one, but good read anyway.
oil filter link

PF52. I suggest if you can't get what you want locally, mail order them in bulk.

I know the PF-52 are suppose to be a good filter but heard the WIX or the Purolator is even better.

105 views and only 18 votes? This poll will help other that don't know too much on our cars, this will help them decide which will be the "best" oil filters for our cars.....

I run a Purolator in my car and my truck. A while back someone had a link to a page that did a huge test on all oil filters, they cut them open, measured the insides and all sorts of other stuff, that's what convinced me to use the purolator. Before that test I always used a Fram and thought nothing of it, now I would never run one of those.

We carry the PF-52 and the Delco Ultragard Gold UPF-52 which is rated as the "most efficient filter available". It has 100% synthetic mdia with wire backing and teflon coated gasket. It is also available as UPF-24 for those using the "biggie".

OK, Don't know if I count since I have a TTA, but I ise the NAPA filter because it is the only quality filter I can find that fits my car and doesn't hit the idler arm.

AC Delco PF-52 only!!! I use Fram on the beater car, or Purolator, depending on where I happen to stop in. I may work at Western Auto, but their prices are high as hell, even after a lousey 15% discount.

Try a Purolator 30001 if you dare. It's a huge filter and I used them for the last 25,000 miles with oil and filter changes at 2000 mile intervals with no problems. Threads are not the same as on our cars but filter fits tight with no damage to threads on oil pump housing. I just installed a PTE turbo saver so I don't need to use the 30001 any longer.

Remote filter and cooler with PF-8A (Ac-Delco filter--using filter for Ford 289/ 302/351).
