Can the oil pan be removed without having to remove anything but the cross over pipe? The one I put on my engine is leaking like crazy and I just stripped the front part of the chassis down to the bare metal, put a rust inhibitor on it and painted it with a chassis black paint(I can't think of the name of who makes the paint, it was recommended to me from someone on here). It looks great. My old oil pan had a dent in it, so I changed it with an one that didn't look like it was that good of shape. It wasn't now that SOB leaks oil and I'm continuously cleaning it. The motor was out of the car when I changed the oil pan the first time.

The oil pan can be removed with the cross over and the trans shield removed. You might have to rotate the engine to get the front counterweight out of the way.
