Just installed a new cover, pump gears and crank bearings.I got the motor running but The oil psi was still alittle low, so took the oil cooler out of the mix and hooked everything back up.I filled the gears with p-jelly just as I did before and nothing, tired it again nothing. It was wierd I would get about 7 psi with a drill turning the gears through the cam sensor hole.Only 7 though wouldn't go any higher. So for the hell of it I took the new gears out and swap in the high volume ones I had. Still no prime. If I take the feed line off going to the remote oil filter and then turn the drill on it just spits blobs oil out. Now I just tired to prime the pump using a can and turning the pump backwards and sucking oil in to the pump.Still nothing, you can hear it grigling and if you cover the line with your hand it has some psi.
All the parts are new.I checked the pump clearences and gear clearences.I'm stuck.
Sorry so long.
Eric

Are you taking the oil line loose at the pump or at the rad? Reason for asking, me and a friend just changed his timing chain, etc. and had the same problem when trying to prime. We had the oil line loose at the pump. Couldn't get a prime even though it worked on my car. We hooked the line back up and took it loose from the rad. and it primed up in no time.

then try pour oil down the outlet line from the cooler adapter to fill the pump and then spin the pump to see if that fixes it.

Take the remote filter adapter off and mount a standard PF47 to the housing. Now see if it primes up with the drill through the cam sensor hole. I would not try and start it until you can get at least 60psi with the drill.
