All this rain is crazy, I think I'm gonna pull the motor on the regal and put it on a row boat if this nonsense keeps up. Luckily I didn't get any water in the basement yet.

I had similar post...just bought my car last Friday and it has rained every day since. My wife says it's sign to get rid of it, maybe it's a sign to get rid of her.

How bout it!

Lost power at 3:30 on Thurs. Did not come back on till friday at 7:45 am.
Luckily I have a genarator. Had the big fish tank running along with the fridge, lcd tv, sat box and window mount A/C in the bedroom. I was going to plug in the sump but that new battery back up I installed last year took care of it just fine.
Some of my neighbors where not so lucky.

i havent seen a drop of rain the over 3 1/2 months. send some this way

Now this is bad..

I just got a call this morning from my buddy who lives about 20 minutes north in Morton Grove, Il. Hes been without power for 4 days. He was working in Wisconsin doing a remodeling job so he bought a generator at a Home Depot up there for his house because every thing was sold out locally. And to really add insult to injury...All the people across the street from him have power! Hes not to happy with Commonwealth Edison right now.

Now I don't feel so bad about loosing mine for one night. Electric is one of those things we take for granted. You don't really notice it until it goes out.
Hopefully they get him running soon. If my calculations are right, it should be back on right about the time he returns from the gas station with a couple fresh 5 gal cans.

Took me 4 hours to mow since the grass got so high, and its STILL wet. Everyday I went to do it for 2 weeks rain, rain, and more rain. I live on top a hill, but I imagine the people below me are having fun cleaning their basements.
