OK, I just installed a DIY injection system on my TR. The TR is an "Old Style" '83 with a carb/turbo. The alcohol injection is also "Old Style", a low pressure, washer fluid pump spraying just before the carb.

The pump puts out ~30 psi and I bought some water misting nozzles from McMaster (M5, M10, M15). It's sprays a fine mist in the air duct just before the carb. It's switched come on at about 8psi and I'm hoping to run about 15 psi of boost. (I have about $25 into it ;) ).

I have no idea on how much alcohol to run. I am running 50/50 water/ethanol (denatured). I have a 10 led knock gauge and an EGT gauge (that I'm not too familiar with yet). I also have boost timing retard I can work with.

Any advice to get me started? Thanks. :)

Turn it up 1 psi. at a time until you see KR.

Assuming the car was tuned and running well on a decent street chip prior to the alky. install.

Skip the EGT gauge for now and tune with KR for sure.

I wouldn't play with the timing just yet either.

Boost in 1 psi. increments should be easier assuming you have an adjustable actuator. :)

50/50 is a good start too, make sure you can tell if it's working before you start out daily by trying the pump with a test switch especially once you turn up the boost. When the pump is dead you want to know it before boosting if at all possible.

Yep, it's carbureted. Factory chip in the ECM (no other choice). Adjustable actuator and relief valve to control boost.

Should I richen or lean the fuel mixture any?

If the alky is doing what its supposed to, you should be able to work in a bit more boost. Sooo, let the boost lean the mixture;) . Run as much as you can, watch for KR, and adjust accordingly for it. I wouldnt think youd want to change anything on your current setup [quite yet] if all is running well. IMO.
