I am curious as to what the difference is....

Pin location meaning off center of the center of the bore of the piston?

Or is the small end of the connecting rod bored off center?

Also, what is the common application of the two?

What is the stock GN 109 block application?

Thanks....

Off center means the cylinder is off center from the rod journal on the crank. This was done to shorten up the block a little so it's a couple 10th's shorter (more compact)

The offset is compensated on the big end of the rod, if you look at one, the big end isn't dead center under the rest of the rod.

Hope that makes sense.
