If the hole in the sink caper wasn't enough, I topped that earlier last month while on home from taking care of my ill Mom.
Our attic could use some insulation. So I bought 28 big rolls of R30 and pushed each and every one of them up into the little attic entrance hole.....(mind you, with a bad back)

Hadn't even laid out the first roll...had to go over a few rafters to fix a roof leak....while stepping back on the joists, with not having any feeling at all in my left leg due to two bulging discs (Note I said, bulging "DISCS" not "DICKS"...want to make that clear here) with a side order of arthritis in my spine, I went right through the roof. (And you thought going "through the roof" meant getting pissed off.....HA!)

Yep, right on through......another very nice, well thought out hole in our ceiling now.....My wife Shirley was standing just below when I decided to "Drop in".

So, another fricken job I've got to do among all the other crap I still have not gotten done due to devoting most of my time to my Mom.

Will it get any better than this? Tune in for more great adventures starring "The BrucieBoy Distruction Company!"

Nice job, huh?

Again.....learn from me.o_O

Gravity seems to be the recurring theme here. Is your middle name Newton? :ROFLMAO:

hello people; Nice job just what you needed. I have a kinda similar story but not really. My electician cousin was over upgrading the service and he tells my farther. If you see the driil tip comming thru the floor let me know. Well he did see the drill and it did come thru floor and baseboard but in the wrong place. Just more crap to deal with. Looking back it was funny but stupid. Shit happems.

Bruce, that's exactly why I decked my attic this winter. Getting too difficult to maintain enough balance to walk the rafters with confidence... Hope you are OK other than feelings!

Thank you for your concern. I was hurting pretty bad for a while, but I recovered enough for my next performance.......as for decking, which is a good idea, when I get back from Mom's soon, I'll post a picture for you of my attic and you'll see why decking is impossible to do up there. The roof's pitch is also very low, very, very hard to crawl to the ends of the house up there....always end up getting at least four of five roofing nail puntures in my thick skull.:arghh: It's a BITCH for me to do any manuevers up there.....the job is still not done as of this point....will "try" to start laying some rolls next week. Ha.

That's the original insulation that followed me down to the floor! I put it back there after wiping all the blood and pieces of skin off of it.:wtf:

Main thing is you came out alright. If it makes you feel any better I've done something similar many, many years ago (didn't fall through though). I was a union Carpenter at the time. Goes to show shit happens to so called professionals too :)
