OPINIONS!! DRAGSTERS at NATIONALS???

The BPG is always open to new ideas Mike...you know that we did the best we could under the circumstances...We have some ideas...PM me or contact via e-mail gbsean@optonline.net there was some talk last year of a dragster class as well as a Hybrid Class...the runs you did were outstanding and we would love to see you in 2009...please contact me...

Absolutely, you should be able to run!

You should able to bring that car no question, Mike Christensen from St. Louis had/has a V6 NA dragster like yours and a Altered with a GN motor he used to bring until he was asked not to bring them anymore, What a shame that we cannot have ALL Buick powered cars there. With the declining attendance you would think that they would like to bring some folks back.

I saw your car in Columbus two years ago (IIRC), I saw the other V6 dragster in Hartline's tent at BG.

Ok guys, Looking for opinions here!! I have been trying for years now to be allowed to race at GS or BPG nationals with no results. I have made up voting boards and put them out while at a few of the BPG races and got overwhelming YES votes (80 to 100 for , 2 against) I have never brought my car to the GS nationals , but would love to!! Simply put there are a few people in the right places that keep me out. Yet I have seen 11.50 street cars make the quick 16 field. What do you people want to see!!!

Please offer up your OPINIONS on weather or not I should be allowed to race at any of these races in the quick 8 or 16 type races!!

There will be no hard feelings here for anyones input as why I should not be allowed. Let the beating begin!! Thanks Mike

That was a very embarrassing weekend for us!! Got beat by that TA car!!
Wife wanted me to quit racing after that!! SERIOUSLY!!

Well thank you for that info!! I had no idea!! No really I was told about this last year but I dont believe that any of it is happening!! Barry went BBC and I havent heard a word out of John since last fall. Anybody know something I dont??? Mike

Bring it Mike - I'll run you!:biggrin: I don't know why "they" would want to keep anything Buick from running at BG - especially a high profile ride like a blown V6 rail. This event has seen it's day and needs to do anything and everything to keep it going - this includes getting out of that little box "they" seem to like to stay in. Rails are cool!

Mike Christensen is as Buick as they come. Great guy. I remember both those cars. The altered had a bone stock TR motor & turbo and I remember him clicking off real easy 10s.
