I'm getting ready to get the engine done and I'm going to be doing a bit of upgrading. Going with a 206/210 roller cam with billit center caps. I already have 42's with TT chip burned for 91 octane, cold air kit, walboro pump, TA Perf headers, 3" DP & scanmaster. I'm looking at moving up to a TE-44 turbo from the stocker. I think I've answered my own question by going thru the searches, but it appears that a PTC L/U 10" 2800 stall should be a good converter for this combo. My realistic goals are mid to low 11's with this combo. Car won't see a bunch of track time, but I want good drivability but with a attitude...:D

Yes I probably will go the alky route after the engine is broke in and I get some tuning done

Am I going down the right track? if not, what would you suggest for a converter?

Thanks

Steve

I have a TE-44 turbo, and just got the PTC L/U 10" 2800 and absolutely love it. (You had better have some type of drag radial though, because traction becomes a problem with regular radials)!!!!!:D :D

I have the orange stripe 3000 stall on my stock T with stock turbo. I am happy with it on my daily driver. When I bought the car (used), the converter had been replaced with a stock Regal converter & it didn't run right.
