i guess in your area there isnt alot of them.... i probely see atleast one a week its acually come to the point where i wont even realize its a tr lol now sy's and ty's thats a different storey i RARELY see them mybe one every couple mounths

Hey Oak,
Im interested in trading my 71 GTO ragtop for a hardtop GTO. Mines a clone , really a LeMans GT with the endura front end from the factory, and otherwise indistinguishable from a gto. Im tired of the looseness of the ragtop and never drop it anyway. I take it your 72 is truly your keeper. If not..l have an idea.

weired how different areas are like that. i have seen, MAYBE 5 other gn's on the road around here. thats a maybe. i went to hawaii and saw about 8 in the 5 days i was there.

sy and ty's here are very abundent. i see one about every week or every other week. there about a little less common than a vette.

the only thing i havent' seen around here at all is a tta. i haven't seen that many gta's either, its just a uncommon car.

GN's are obviously pretty rare over here. Even Z28's arn't that common, maby a 1-2 a week rate. every other car is a bmw though

Theyre both pretty rare in my area. I maybe see one of each per month.

the gto is a keeper...i had a 72 convertable and i didnt like it much...it didnt keep the water out although it only had half the top haha.. there are a good amount of gn's here but i swear i never see one when im in mine...

Its funny reading this because a buddy of mine( who had a 10 sec GN ) and I were thinking about it. We never see any GN's in the Quad Cities( which is a good size area ). SO we drove around to everybody's house we knew had one. We ended up organizing a meet before a car show and ended up having 7 beautiful black GN's parked next to one another at a car show. How often do you see that 7 GN next to each other!! God I love these cars. You never see one but everybody knows what they are and not to mess with them!!!

Here in the South, everybody knows they are Monte Carlos. Except for the ghetto crew who always asks (really axx), "ey man, how much yu want for it?"

haha people deserved to be slapped hard in the face for mistaking it with a monte carlo... haha it is understandable but still...what a insult... :D

Yeah! The ghetto crowd.........they just think it's a straight Regal maybe with that awe inspiring V8. They want it so they can paint it bowling ball green, install 22" wheels and 16 TV monitors.

I very rarely see a GN/TR driving around the Tampa Bay area nor do I see any kind of musclecar, old or new, any time. 9 out of 10 mustangs are V6s. One redeeming factor is that at our local Saturday nite cruise might draw up to a dozen turbo cars. Eight just this past Saturday and many regulars didn't show up. I don't know why we don't have more every week. It's just for a few hours every week.

Guys like me know what TR's are capable of, and I'll mess around with'em...being a former TR owner myself. The TR is granted to be one of the more gifted straight line performing cars. put it on the drag strip against something like my G35, my G35 wouldnt stand a chance. But you put us both on a circuit, I'll take the TR down and give it a beating. The GNX might be a different story..I have yet to experience driving a GNX. The one thing I loved about the TR. The G-body chassis was great...heavy..not too heavy. The engine puting power comparable to a mild v8, still lighter than your monte carlo. Altoghether, the car was a blast to drift. Not your average powerslides, but long sweeping drifts. I just wished that there was a manual option at times when I owned the TR. Oh well...
I'll mess with any TR on their turf...just as long they're up to withstanding me on mines. :p
