Output shaft bad

I have twisted splines on my output shaft. I know this is a longshot and can find this no where, but can you change it with the tranny in the car. If the answer is no—I’m probably going to get a new tranny. I had driveshaft issues, pulled it…thought it went all the way in but gets held up about 2 inches in. I pulled the driveshaft out and purchased a new output shaft and it slides all the way fully into the new driveshaft. It’s a new driveshaft
