Outstanding Members

Here is my take on the homepage outstanding members.

SHould it be a monthly thing?
THese cars and people are all great but lets put up new ones once a month or something.
There cant be only 3 outstanding member on this entire board

I myself am an outstanding member(by my account)

But i could be out standing in a field by myself somewhere

I agree. I too am an outstanding member. Also, everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

I agree completely - there are scores of 'Outstanding Members' on this board and within the Turbo Buick community.

Their cars and bios should be rotated through the Homepage on a regular basis, at least every 1-2 months.

I would like to see other members cars featured on the homepage, regardless of significant some may think their contribution might be. After all, if it wasn't for each and every one of us, there wouldn't be a board at all.

To buy and maintain a TR makes anyone a member of our Turbo Buick Community a 'member in good standing' in my view. We all need each other here - if not us, who else?

Here is part of a post I made yesterday in another thread:

"If you, or Jack Cotton, or anyone else wants to have their car featured, it is necessary to submit a write-up and pics that can be posted.

We would gladly rotate featured cars from our members."

This was also mentioned many months ago and guess how many responses we received?

NONE.

Cannot say how often we can and will do this as it takes lots of time and effort, but send us the info like the ones on the homepage now did, and you will see your story and pics!

Outstanding Member Issues. . .

Hi All

I think Chris Chow car should be removed and Bill Anderson should be there instead with his 7.59 run at 181mph at the GS Nats 2004. Bill was at GS Nats as well as the other guys up there, and Chris was not. why????

Anyways I wanted to add this post to the thread concerning this issue, but was unable and out of time.

Outstanding members should be changed each year. except in the case of Jason Cramer, he was there last year and again this year. Cal Hartline also, the same.

Where is Chris Chow??? No flames needed, but since when did our cars have 2 turbos! Confusing to others and to me and I have owned my GN for 17 years. I should not have to read a thread 3 pages long to learn the true details of a twin turbo GN/TR.

My pet peeve is misrepresentation or the facts regarding Turbo Regals. TR/GN's are 3.8 liter SFI Turbo, anything else is not a turbo regal. Just like a turbo regal body with a Big Block is no longer in the same class or bracket when racing.

The point is that outstanding members should be updated by events or on a yearly basis and based on overall contribution to the TR community, whether it be performance or otherwise.

I would say that this shouldn't be brought back up....There was a HUGE write up on this story already.. Please do a search on Chris Chow..... It should pop up... Like 3-5 pages long... Everyone was bi**hing and moaning about it being there. I had my own opinion, but here is not the place I would say in my opinion now....My 2 cents

Guess you should have searched a little and you would have seen my response?

We did not make up the profiles and pics now on the homepage, they were sent to us by the members pictured. We have offered many times to rotate or add pics and profiles, but NO ONE has taken us up on this.

So quit complaining and send your pics and profile so we can have it up there.

I guess my life has been dealing with more important issues such as LIFE, live like you were dying. -- so true Tim McGraw.

Guys -- life can be very stressful.. please lighten up so you do not die on us all.. I had a stressful weekend at Crandon Brush Runs (CORR). A friend of mine brought his girlfriends kid of 12 years old along -- who totally lacks all discipline and it was the best birth control ever. The kid will be in jail by 25 yrs old just like his father (for raping a woman -- his statement to his wife when the police showed up " The Bitch Got Me"). and this was her husband of 10 years.
