Padded Dash Pad Restoration?

I've got a dash pad in a Grand National that has split at the seam on top closest to the windshield near the middle of the car from age and heat. How is the best way to fix this? Can it be repaired to look like new or does it need to be replaced and if so where would I find a replacement? How much of a job is it?
