Well I just returned from Florida and found that some d1ckless MF'ckr hit my White T with a BLUE paint ball,,if I see a Paint Ball gun in the area, someones gettin it shot up the arse----SO how do I remove it-most was taken off,but a stain is left there ,I have tried OOPs, that stuff in a can that removes everything,,didnt work---help..

Thanks Dennis :( :( :(

I would suggest using 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sand it carefully, then buff and wax the sanded area back to a shine...HTH!!

I would try clay baring it and if that doesn't work pick up some Mequiars Swirl Mark Remover from Pep Boys and just rub on it with it. It'll take it out more than likely. I wouldn't wet sand for anything like that, it's a little risky with no experience (even with like a 2000 grit). But like I said one of the two options should work without any problems.

MOST paintball dont stain. and i dont many paintballs that have a blue paint, except this really cheap stuff. Paintballs arent real paint, its food coloring, and water. Sometimes there is little bits of bleach, but not much.

It should have came off with just water....odd...

Ada,

That's what I was thinking also since it's suppose to be water based so it comes out of the close and off the playing field easily.

here are some pics ,,it seems to be a paint bal;l ,but did not find anything on the ground...

Before you sand it, I'd take to a body shop you trust and see what they say. They may have something that will take it off without being abrasive.

Paintball Ingredients FYI

Was your car out in the sun when it was hit ?? Paintballs can still stain surfaces depending on how long the "paint" has been left on, the surface surface temperature and the material of the surface.

PAINTBALL INGREDIENTS:

To keep paintballs environmentally safe, a polyethylene glycol shell is used to encapsulate the water soluble paint. When exposed to water, a paintball's shell will slowly decompose leaving no permanent residue. Since a paintballs' fill is water based, it begins to decompose the moment it is manufactured.

Glycerin is another nontoxic substance used in the manufacturing of most paintballs. Glycerin is a thick liquid that is commonly used as a plasticizer in many materials. It's main function regarding paintballs is it's ability to prevent a paintball from freezing.

Gelatin makes up the highest percentage of the fill of a paintball. Gelatin is a purified form of collagen (animal hoofs, cartilage, etc.). It keeps colorants and other ingredients from separating from the liquid fill in a paintball.

Sorbitol is used to maintain moisture content in the fill. Other ingredients used in the manufacturing of a paintball include water, starch, and colorants. All of the above ingredients are water soluble, nontoxic, and environmentally safe.

I would have to say that YES it was in direct sun prolly for many days since I was on Vacation..

With your car out in the sun for several days, I'm fairly certain the dyes have been absorbed into the paint and "baked" on. It wouldn't hurt to take to a body shop as stated in the previous posts. They may have something that will take it out. But prepare yourself if they say "Nope, panel has to be repainted".

Tried 3M Finesse it,,did not work, body shop did say I need a Rubbing Compound, something more agressive....
Will post back after i try that..
Dennis :(

Yeah, you'll probably have to use a "heavy duty" type rubbing compound. It's a coarser grade compound, so go easy with it. Hopefully it'll take it out ..

OK the 3M Rubbing Compound that comes in a black bottle worked ,but took alot of effort, which I knew it would since the rubbing compound was a liquid ,,seemed non abrasive...
But someone is still gonna get it if I find the turd...

Find out if any others were "hit" in your area... it would seem to me that if a bunch of retards went around shooting or throwing paintballs at cars n such, they wouldnt just hit one car, once. Maybe someone else knows something. Also, check out any paintball suppliers in the area, maybe they can trace the paintball type (I also dont know of many paints that have a blue innard colour) and maybe give you some info on any people that have guns in the area. If you find him, go knockin on his door with a different kind of gun... :)

Another suggestion

Ive got a used once "autococker" paintball gun that could be used for a lil payback if u find out who it was! U should be able to hit the offender right between the eyes with this gun, its super accurate ;) .

yea, i had a cocker and a phantom pump (that was even more acc than the WGP). The cocker i made electronic with some solenoids that also serve as the wastegate solenoids.... think they were humprey's valves. if you want payback along the paintball theme, i heard they use paintballs filled with teargas in the forces for riot control... that would probably suck!
