I did a search here and on t6p, I am seeming to have a hard time finding who makes a transmission pan gasket and filter. And where can I buy them from?

im sure the filter is at a local store, but I got a art car deep tranny pan. Having a hard time finding a pan gasket to buy.

?

Never saw an AC pan but wouldn't it take the same gasket as a stock pan? Bolts up to the same trans surface.

cool thanks!

had trouble at a local parts store, just like in a thread i just found doing a search. Gotta make sure they search my car right, seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. I'll try again monday see if i can get one. Any chance of getting a part number or brand name?

As people have suggested, use the 700R4 filter. Many parts stores don't carry the pan gasket separate from the filter. The GM part no. for the 200-4R pan gasket is
8657387 (grp. 4.196)
It's a package of 5 gaskets.

This is a good post. The parts stores typically dont have the gaskets alone and will corn hole you into buying 2 filter and gasket kits. The dealer sells the good gasket. Avoid the squishy cork gasket if possible.
