Parts and Brakes on GN question

Was still trying to figure out more stuff on the GN's I had someone tell me about the brake master cylinder or something being really expensive if it goes or somehting to that effect. Also on another note. Are parts generaly expensive or not for these cars? How hard are they to work on for just general maintainance such as oil changes,and spark plugs etc. It seems reliability is pretty good from what ive heard. Just wondering cause I don't want to get into anything that is supre expensive for parts and stuff. I know some performance parts and stuff loke Turbos and intercoolers can get pricey but I also assume its noty like you have to replace them every other year or anything and I know they are cheaper than they were back in 88 when a friend had to replace a turbo on a 86 T-Type and it cost him in the thousands to do that(i think $1K for stock turbo + labor)
