Just a little food for thought. you don't need aluminum heads to runs low 10's. Ported irons will get you well into the 9's. With the coin you save, you could add somewhere else to complement your setup. I do have a 70GTQ turbo forsale if your interested that would also help you out. Good luck with your project.

You are right there are lots of people going fast on Irons. However, I am wanting to go 10.00s on an alcohol tune of 25-26 PSI, and a 1.60 short time. Street style numbers, this means lots of MPH.

Engine combo is built stoke stroked 109, CAT crank, k1rods, JE pistons. I have now a set of Champion Irons and matching lower intake. Target engine RPM operating range is 3.5k to 6.2k. Cam is 215/220 roller, Turbo is BBT72Qtrim Turbonetics.
Hey if you see something not right in my combo let me hear about it. Please no opinions, either real world experience or math/physics.

I need to calculate the volumetric efficiency numbers. But I think I would need to run 28+ psi to do it on IRONS.

If some engine math guru wants to put of some numbers I would appreciate it.

I have like new 30 spline moser [C clip} with 1/2 long studs,open carrier with
auburn mini spool works great maybe 50 street miles and no track passes.I'm going to chuck my stock stuff back in not planning on racing for a long time
I'll let it go for $350 plus shipping I'm near Atlanta maybe not too expensive to ship to gulf coast.
