WHERE IS THE PAY IT FORWARD THREAD?

on a sarcastic note....

one thing i hate seeing is a poor college guy trying to purchase a 800.00 big shaft turbo that cant afford a 5 pack of K-mart underwear, but can ask for a break in the parts for sale section for a discount on turbo buick upgrades. F that-

im broke, that is my decision,... not up for discusion, i hate reading this stuff-

i just want to know where the thread is, and who is eligible for a late x-mas present

Yeah, I'll give you that fiscal responsibility isn't the best in the younger generation. I'll admit that I'm probably by far not the best spender of money, and I don't make any excuses about it. Part of it is that I've got too many irons in the fire. My weekly expenses (fuel, food drink) always get paid for before money goes out the door for goodies, be they car parts, electronics or otherwise.
When shopping in the used market, timing is everything though so you do what you can asset wise.
I don't ask for a discount based on the fact that I'm a "poor college kid" though, but rather use the art of the haggle to try and get the price I want. Haggling is being fiscally shrewd, the worse a person can do is say no, and you can get real good deals.
You seem to neglect the idea that the persuasion method of pathos (the appeal to emotion) is as valid of means as the next thing in haggling, it'sa good tool when used properly.
