PC help 4 a.

My PC took a dump.[Stops booting and/or will lock up the mouse if I try to open a page.] A new pc was in order as the oldie is over 8 yrs old! The good thing is, I have a Maxtor backup hd.
Get the new pc set up, and hummin along.
I started retreiving stuff. Got my favorites moved. Moved "my pictures", and found a ton of crap I did not see on the pc when I opened my pictures. [Prior to the crash].
I started thru the mess, hiliting pics I wanted to get rid of. I used the mouse and the control key to hilite a bunch of pics for deletion. I hit the "delete the items" on the lh side of the screen... WHAMO! GONE! Or, so I thot. The more I deleted, the more copies of copies I found, til I was overrun!
Got pissed off and dumped the whole file. [I had done "copy" from the b/u, so the pics are still on the b/u drive.] I went to the b/u, and tried to delete them. Same thing! Got really pissed off, and came here for some instructions!

I NEED SOME HELP, please!!

I just started a new book, using addys I get in daily e-mails... No biggie! I spend too much time on here, anyway!

I did get the pics deleted, tho. Went into the b/u drive, and deleted them, 1 by 1, then dumped the trashcan, then copied what I had left to the "my pics" folder on the c drive. Seems to have worked..
