OK, back in the day, we used to cruise the last Sunday of the month, for ten months a year. Of those cruises, by far our biggest cruise was this one. Dunno why, but more people would come out on this cruise than any other. Probably cuz it's the closest to an actual "around the island" cruise as we can get. At any rate, last years cruise packed Blaisdell Park with around 250 cars at best guess. The line of cars stretched for miles. Early reports were the first cars had reached Dole Plantation as the last cars were leaving Pearl City. That's alot of cars!! We hope everyone can make it to this cruise as we have hopes that this one will be just as big. Here's the route:
Summer Cruise #2 – Sunday - July 30th
We will meet at 10:00 am at Moanalua Gardens. This cruise will take us from Moanalua to H1, H2, Wahiawa, Schofield, Dole Plantation, Haleiwa, and then a break for lunch. We’ll keep cruising by heading out to Waimea, Sunset, Kahuku, Laie, and all the way around through Waimanalo and Sandy Beach. We’ll cruise a little more until we run through town and finish at Kaka’ako Park.
Make sure to pack a buncha drinks and snacks. While we do stop a several times for lunch and other snacks/drinks/bathroom breaks... some of the segments can get kinda long. This should be a blast! If you make any event this year, make it to this one! Should be putting together a pretty cool video after the event is over. See ya on the Hot Rod Cruise!!
