long story short.

2 weeks ago i had wastegate problems and pegged my 30psi boost gauge.... twice. car was fine after, because, well, i'm guessing because my car false knocks like a bitch and had most likely already retarded the timing 30* before the boost even swung past 15....
in any case, goin down the road last week the ****ing thermostat stuck, and me, only having the stock idiot light.. didnt know until it was too late. the car acted funny so i pulled off the highway, smoke was coming out of both sides of the engine, steam i guess...
shut it down and let it cool, had to chug it home 3 miles or so.
verdict?
#6 went, straight plain water in the oil, just a tiny bit, and it leaked into the cylinder .. there was gross yellow crap all over the intjector... when i got it home it was spitting water on the firewall.
its all torn down now. the only thing left in the engine bay is the block and wiring harness.
i was renowned for the ugliest freaking engine bay, well, thats gonna change guys
cant wait until its back together so you guys can see the improvement.
positives of this?
1. somehow, i had two tranny bellhousing bolts left, dont know where the other ones went or how they even fell out, didnt know they were gone until now. well, i have a full set now.
2. those god forsaken header cracks are fixed again
3. who doesnt like fresh headgaskets?
4. shaved 5lbs of the front end just by scraping grease off EVERYTHING.
5. everything is all pretty and painted now
6. new motor mounts, cause my stockers actually had no rubber left....
7. getting a little valve job done on the heads
the only thing im dissapointed about is putting those crappy headers back on the car
anyone have some atr or poston lying around you'd like to get rid of cheap?
i'll keep you guys updated.
