People selling their GN's because they got kids on the way!!!???

I did the same thing with my '67 GTO back in 1995. I sold it for a song to get some quick cash for a down payment on my house. As it turned out, I really didn't need to. You can't get near a decent '67 for a reasonable amount of $$ anymore. So much for "having another one someday". I'm keeping my GN. Plus, I hate to be that guy that walks up to people at the car show and says "I used to have one just like that".

I'm pretty sure my GTO was at the local cruise-in last week - I knew that thing like the back of my hand. There aren't too many "Montego Cream" '67 GTOs around, nevermind in this part of the country. The guy said he's only had it 2 years.

But I digress.....if you ever plan on "having another one someday", just keep the one you've got.

i'll never SELL my hurst under any circumstances what so ever, its a keeper for life. I'm only 23 and i'm trying to build up collection now before i have to spend money on a wife, kids, house. I already have 3 decent cars, the 70 GS stage 1, the 85 ss and the 83 H/O. Cars can definetly fit in a tight budget. You gotta find great deals.

i am only 20...thank god i am still young! i am trying to get through college here...another couple years to go...i still live at home unfortunately so that's how i can afford my car...it's already paid off at least...i pay about $225 a month for insurance though! i guess i have my whole life ahead of me with all you guys talking about kids and stuff

No worries....kids doesn't always = happiness. So I chose the route I KNEW would keep me proud and well entertained....toys! Nope, no kids...ever. Just me, the wife, dogs and toys...and boy am I happy

Thanks to my kids I got my T/R.
I had a '68 Vette Convertible, couldn't see keeping it with two kids who both wanted to cruise in it. Told my wife I had had enough of cars, sold it.
Two weeks later my brother called and told me about my new car.
"Honey, about that outta cars thing..."

If you have to sell crap to afford kids, then you can't afford to have kids!

I give this advice to the young guys all the time.

I tell them to be very concerned when the girl says "I love you." Those three words have brought down more men than all of the deaths by bullets, bayonettes, and car accidents combined.

There is no excuse when they sell those things in the local
7-11.
