Have any of you ever heard of or used this brand of race fuel, specifically B-33 (114 octane). All opinions or comments will be greatly appreciated. TIA

That is all i buy. My car seems to like the Phillips B33 over higher octane. It is pricey though ($6.50-7.00) around here.
Mitch

I use it too and it works good. Like mitch says, its pretty much all they sell around here.

B33 is good fuel. I've used it for years with no problems. It has a decent lead content (not too high) and good specific gravity (.73). Best I can remember the (R+M)/2 is 116.5 which is as good as Torco Mach 116.

I just bought a 55 gallon drum of this stuff for $250 delivered with no core charge; not a bad price IMO.

Lots of guys around here run that B33 114 and swear by it.

Much cheaper that the 116 at the track, and some suggest a little quicker.

Myself, I'm in love with that B35 100 U/L for the street :D

Phillips

I Love It!

I've got a barrel of B35 in the yard now. I'd put it in the house but the wife wont let me. I like the smell. Phillips plant is just to my northwest.

What is the motor octane of B33? Kansas T, Why do you say it works better than a higher octane fuel? Are you running low boost levels? Brian

The motor octane rating is 109, but the research octane is 119. Most people go by (R+M)/2, and that rating is 114. Specific gravity is .73. I've run as high a 30 psi of boost, so its not all that low. I've tried several grades of VP and never had good luck. I run 28 degrees of timing and boost between 25 and 30psi depending on how much knock I get. I always tune for 0 knock. With VP I could never run more than 26 degrees timing and 25psi of boost. I've also tried and had good luck with Unocal 76 and Sunoco race fuels.

Who did you get your fuel from? I've been buying from Dan Wall in McPherson, but it cost me more than that last year.

we bought 2 55 gallon drums from a guy in kirksville missouri

his dad owns a few gas stations up there and purchases multiple barrels at a time-

actually the price was 233.00 and 27.00 for shipping not bad since he drove 2 hours + to get it to my house :)

i can get more fuel for you guys-- maybe next time we can get a group purchase, and get more than 2 drums--

i just opened my drum, and it smells mmmm mmmm good :)

butch- if you are interested call me and i will see what i can do about getting you guys some more fuel-

personally i would rather have vp or sunoco fuel-- but we just happend to get the B33 fuel--
let me know wanner@kc.rr.com

I have used B-33 for years. Works great. My old barrells empty so I hope to buy a new one tomorrow.

Any chance I get it delivered to Miami?

Do they have a web site, or is there a list of distributors for the Eastcoast?

Any opinions on the race fuels that Powermist makes? I just started running their RFG 105.....
Anyone? Positive or negative experiences?

Rich
