Even though I had by far the slowest TR at the event I still had a great time. My best ET was a 13.8 with a 1.96 60-foot on the whitewalls set at 22 psi, best MPH was about 100. The track officials did not say anything about the wirewheel covers, so I left them on. The motor and trans are both original with just under 200K miles, and I quickly discovered the car is in desparate need of valvesprings as it didn't want to rev much above 4000 RPM.
Despite making a dozen passes the track photographer did not (would not?) get an action shot, which was unfortunate as apparently the smoke show generated from heating up the whitewalls was "most noteworthy".

Neal and I left Sunday morning around 8 AM and slogged through 7+ hours of traffic; the only hiccup we had was a squeaky left front brake that we quickly addressed with a screwdriver.
