Here are some pics of the CAI and K&N I had on my TTA. I got the pipe from Grumpy a few years ago and had it chrome plated.

Thanks for the compliments. It was a nice car but I wanted something old again so I sold it. I would say it was around 30 degrees, maybe a little less. If you took your car to an exhaust shop and some 3.5in stainless steel pipe they could probably bend it up for you. Keep your eye on the classifieds and on Ebay, they pop up from time to time.

the pipes like above have 2 bends...similar to the short stock black plastic one but longer to eliminate the dryer hose. You can get away with the GN kits that use straight pieces with angles couplershttp://buickgn.com/mafpipes.htm ...pretty sure several have done this. No need to go to 3.5" unless you are going to a LS1 or bigger MAF and a turbo with a bigger then 3" inlet. The stock MAF is 3" and so is the LT1 MAF. I have the pipe from Grumpy as well but unfortunately he doesn't make them any more. Either get some pieces of 3" thin wall aluminum (aluminum cools quicker then steel) and some angled silicone couplers and make your own, get the GN kit or look up "turbofabricator" he has been making some for the TTA.

Here is a pic of the pipes Grumpy used to sell...the one most of us seem to have. I polished mine and added a 3" polished up-pipe as well...since this pic I have switched to a 3" LT1 MAF and Translator.

hth,
Scott

Canister still sits in its place, plenty of room there once you removed the OEM airiflter setup

Just send him a PM and ask. He has done a few pieces for my car now and is always reasonable, in fact he charged me even less than he estimated.
