Lots and lots of pics, good job cant wait to see the finished product...

Good work with the camera, keeping a personal record of the resto.

I'm glad that you decided to save this car rather than let it become just a parts car or worse. It is so cool that these cars are still valuable enough to merit a resto. After all, they are probably at the low point of their depreciation curve at about 15 years or so. You know that they will start appreciating in the next few years, and that many people will be sorry that they did not take the steps needed to save some of the less than perfect examples that are out there today. Thanks, Rudy E.

Thanks guys, it has been ALOT of work! I was working like hell to get it done for the nationals and would have done it, but 8 hours before I was to leave for bowling green, the oil pump seized and took out the cam and cam sensor. Kinda ruined some plans! I pretty much got it back together (again), I will have the finished PICS soon.

The original plan was to restore the 87, but after inspection it was too far gone rust-wise to be worth it (180k Michigan car).
so, i called Mike McCoy and bought the 86 body from him. it took almost 3 years to get all the parts and paint together i replaced EVERYTHING! from the steering components, suspension, all seals and weather-strip, all new lines. i wanted to do it right.

Thanks for looking.

Andy
