piston pin offset

I am getting set to put the pistons back in and labled them but for some reason I am questioning the markings of position I put on them. (probably because of the stupid way I put them in the box)

My question is for piston one. With the dot facing forward, which way is the piston offset to or protrude out towards (front or rear of the engine)?

If I know the proper alignment for cylinder one (front right) I know where the rest of them go.

Just wanting to be sure.

The pin should stick out towards the front?

If so I put them in the box wrong.

In case ...

I was a little vague, #1,3,&5 rod bosses face towards the rear and the cap chamfers, along w/the piston notch towards the front of the engine. Yeah that makes it a clearer thought.
