As part of the relief efforts, our county is standing up a 20 man strike team for probable deployment to the Katrina area. My department is going to be sending one man for the team. In the request, the county has advised that the officer responding will be responsible for food/shelter, etc for 2 nights and three days upon arrival. At this point we dont know when(or even if) they will be deployed. What I was wondering is, if anyone might be able to put up one or two of my guys when they first get to the area, or if anyone knows someone who could help us out..Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
