please help with window regulator ?

i was wondering which window regulators would work for an 84 gn. i know the monte carlo regulators will work but i'm wondering about anything more new, like a 90's car or truck regulator. thanks for your help.

Only the 79-88 G-body coupe regulators will work. I've experimented with other types of regulators and nothing else is a true bolt in.

now are those supposed to have a spring on them b/c i put one on that i was given from a local shop and it didn't have a spring to bring the window down, and it is real loose.

No, the spring version is from a 78. It is supposed to bring the window down faster. There is a motor difference as well. Some have commented that the older style motor will not clear the concert sound speakers if you have that option.
