brent

I have the 50'son it now but its not yet running hope for low to mid 11's with a little more work done.:)

I had 009s before but they were hitting 100% duty cycle before with the old combo (Ported intake, 60-1, Spearco FMIC, ported irons, 62mm TB, 206-206 Comp cam, and other little things. Never got a full pass, only a 12.9@ 110mph at 13psi. With the new combo I'm going with at least 55s.

I've got 50's in my 85 GN...TA-51 w/PTE exh housing, one-off TH DP, CAS V2 FMIC, JL 92 street chip, MM MAF Trans and IMP SS MAF, etc...On 16# boost and 92 oct pump gas, I dyno'd 330hp/440tq with a MM 208/208 cam(#3 cam lobe wiped, was probably half-gone at the time of dyno)...Don't remember exact times, but was around 13.5 @ 104 with a 2.6 60'...Helluva time spooling up to boost, had IC hose leaks and some other issues...Times run were with the same setup as the dyno run...Had 13k miles on it when I parked it due to severe lifter ticking...I've got a CC206/206 going in now, hopefully be running soon...Need to do some minor re-engineering of my setup, mainly idiot proofing the IC hoses, and fixing the other minor issues...

On a side note, with the above setup at about 800 miles on it, I drove it to BG last year(2001) for the NATS and managed to get 27 mpg...

I'm not sure what the POS 868's that Mike at Modern pushed off on me as blue tops are.

I know a little more now about these cars now.

Maybe Mike does too.:(

The 868's flow around 36# "like" the Blue Tops...They don't flow as linear as the stock injs or the Ford Blue Tops, so using a Blue Top chip with them will have some ranges that are leaner and some ranges that are richer...The 868's have been out long enough now that most of the veteran chip burners should be able to get a fairly decent calibration out of them...

I still have the stockers for now. I have not upgraded my turbo. I have done everything else to make a larger turbo work well. I did the stall convertor, free flowing exhaust. I would love to upgrade today but I cant afford it. I am having a 4.1 being built now cause I am sick of putting bearings and rings in it every year. This time I am doing it right. I think I will be able to upgrade to a TA54 and some 009's next year. This year I have to sit and look at my car sitting in the employee parking lot with no motor and tranny in it. I hope I can get it running yet this year. I am also getting married in September and I have to start paying for that. So the motor is on hold right now. They said it is going to be around $3500 for the rebuild. I am also having the tranny rebuilt while it is out. That is costing 400 bucks. I also need the poly motor mounts cause the stock on was ripped right in half. That is another 200. That puts me over 4k and I still need some gaskets and stuff and I also have to get my terry houston flange fitted up the the 3" dp I bought from boost 231. Thats another 100 or so. Then if nothing leaks I am taking the headers and dp anc up pipe and x over and getting them all ceramic coated. There is another 1000 probably. So you see why I dont have bigger injectors and a turbo.

i have the 36# from postons with there chip
the injectors are delphi i think and the chip is by joe lubrant or something

my car idles smoothe as glass as compare to the stockers and Hypertech chip that was in the car when i bought it.
