Pontiac Grand Prix GXP

Anybody have any experience with one? 5.3 LS4, 303 h.p. 323 pound-feet, wrong wheel drive. Sounds like fun. Looking at one as a possible daily.

I have an Impala SS that's my wife's Dailey. Fun car, the gxp is better equipped and would be fun. I like ours

I believe the Buick Super has the same set-up too. Have you had any problems out of the transmission? I hear the transmissions are an issue with these cars. The one I'm looking at has been rebuilt. I wonder if it is bad/inadequate parts from the factory and the problem is cured with a rebuild or is this just an inherit design flaw destined to re-occur later?

I have not had any trouble, but yes they are weak. It's the same tranny that came in the 3800super charged cars. I know many were repaired under warranty...I think they will last just fine, but won't take a beating. I did a shift kit, and added a cooler but it's been trouble free for 130k
