I just inhereted my grandfathers 78 lesabre sport coupe with a 3.8 turbo in it. I have always had old mopars and dont know where to start on this buick. I have zero turbo experiance and very little knowedge in that area. The car goes good till about 30 miles an hour then if I try to accelerate it bogs down and knocks. I have replaced the anti knock sensor, plugs, wires, air cleaner, oil change, but that did not help. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

A couple possibilites come to mind right away, a clogged fuel filter or other fuel delivery issue, or a restriction in the exhaust, maybe a clogged
cat?

Welcome aboard. Now you need to visit us in the before black section. There's lots of reasons for what you're dealing with. How old is the gas? Is it 92-93 octane? How warm is the car getting? Fuel filter could be clogged as well or the pump may not giving you enough volume. The timing chain may be at it's limit advancing the timing.

Ok, now that I've thrown some things your way where do you live? The reason I ask is because one of the other members may be near you and can help.
