poping at wot

I have had a problem with poping @ wot above 17 psi of boost . with the alky on low at 17 #s of boost the poping isnt as bad as higher boost levels.Also get a bubble in my over flow tank. Just changed my coil & ignition module as well as my radiator . the compression checks at 155 to 175 on all cyc. anyone have any ideas? thanks

Could be a lean fueling problem. New fuel filter lately? Pump OK? Problem as you describe cost me a headgasket.

sounds like you leaning out. Same thing happened to me. My fuel filter was clogged and kept me from getting enough fuel at high boost/rpms. Could be fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure, or tuning.

Try tightening the plug gap to .032. I had a popping with high boost and alky and this solve my problem.

brand new pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure reg. dont know if i can trust the scan master but during the poping it reads between 780s and 830s
