porting stock intake manifold

I have a question about gasket matching my intake. should i stay away from the area where the injector sprays? i'm trying to match to a stock style felpro valley pan.

I took some meat outta mine there but didnt go crazy on it!

GO CRAZY!! Just don;t match to a FelPro 1200. If you match to a 1200 you WILL break out on the sides in a couple of places. If you do, just break-out the JB weld and fix it. Works GREAT!!! The injector nub can and should be removed. You can even beak into the injector boss, too. The O-ring will seal it. I do it all the time.
