Didn't know where to post this, so I might put it in several places.

I have a friend who did an outstanding job powdercoating some parts for me. I went with an a blacked out theme, but he can do just about any color you like. He is very well priced, I could not believe how inexpensively Kevin did my parts for me. In return for his fantastic service I promised I would put his name out on the net to get him some more business.

He can do just about anything, when it comes to powdercoating. He might have a hard time with some of the larger items, but he is working on getting a bigger oven now for items like bumpers and such.

He has done the following items for me:
2 sets of valve covers
upper plenum
lower intake
MAF pipe
up pipe
oil fill tube

He has done suspension parts, wheels and various other items.

If you are interested in getting items powdercoated, give Kevin a call (270)352-1375 or shoot him an email at kbjones357@hotmail.com Make sure to put powdercoating in the subject line or he will delete it as spam. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll just shut up and post some pics.

Thanks,
John

Don't hesitate to give Kevin a call. He is retired military and is a man of his word.

He lives in Radcliff, KY. Just outside Ft Knox where I live.

As for prices you would really need to ask Kevin. I got a FANTASTIC    deal on all of them, you really would not believe what he charged me, but he is a good friend. Give Kevin a call or email him, he will take care of you, tell him John sent you his way. I am helping him out, trying to get him a website going as well. As soon as it is up and running I will post it.

Will get a price list up for him on here as soon as he gets it to me.

Don't expect it too last long, but it will look nice for pictures installed;) Heatshield should cover some of what doesn't last.

Kevin is getting me a price list on digits. Ask if you are looking for any specific parts done.

Spoke with Kevin last night, left the price list there. Will see him again this weekend. For all those that have asked. Or just call or email him.

I took some pics when it was all installed. It looked great I thought. The pics were on my old computer that the HD crashed on. So I don't have any on this one. The pipes for the front mount intercooler were also black.

If I had it to do over again I would have went with silver/grey as recommended by others. Unless you never drive your car, or really like detailing your engine compartment, I'd stay away from black.

Every speck of dirt/dust/grease/oil/grime shows up.

p.s. Kevin did some of the powdercoating for the Toys for Tots giveaway car. I didn't get to see the pieces he did, but he has always done good work for me.

Even hi-temp powder won't stay on down pipe or exhaust manifold parts.
I have used 600, 800 and 1200 deg. silicone based powders. It's just not made to take that kind of direct heat.
Unless you insulate it with a thermal barrier.

fort knox   aaaaaaaggggggghhhhh! sorry i just had a flash back  , (stationed there for a while) looks good i have a friend who's looking for work on his car i will pass along his number.

Misery, heartbreak, and agony at Fort Knox.

Please let me know how long the downpipe and turbo heat shield last.

Oh yes those favorite of all hills here. When I went thru basic training here, it seemed like we ran them everyday. I can remember being able to reach out straight in front of me and touch the guys feet in front of me  while running. I drive them every now and then, I think my heart would bust trying to run them now. Makes me wonder what a good burnout would look like going up each, hmmm. Might have to try that sometime

You have to get special permission to run those hills now due to the heavy haulers carrying tanks, travelling to the ranges out that way now. So no one really runs them anymore.

Powdercoating didn't last but a couple thousand miles on the downpipe, it was regular not the hi temp stuff. I actually got the downpipe that way when I bought it from a boardmember here. I never used the heat shield on the car, it's just collecting dust in the garage.
