Like a lot of other GNs, my power antenna has failed on my 87 GN- stuck in the up position now (reception is OK, but it's silver and I want a black one, plus mine's kind of beat up). So, I bought a GM black fixed mast antenna on Ebay, and now find that it's just the mast, no receiver to screw it into on my car (should have researched this better before the purchase). I need a black threaded receiver that will screw into the antenna hole on my car and that I can screw the fixed mast antenna into. Anyone know what that's called or where I can get one? Also, my goal is to avoid removing the fender to do this antenna replacement, if at all possible. Does anyone have any ideas as to how this could be done- any previous posts on this same subject? Thanks.
