I'm replacing the power assist motor on the system with a new one.question is do i need to be bleed the brakes after doing this

Yes, you need to cycle the booster side once or twice to get out the air that will be in there when you start the new motor.

In general, if you fluid is dark bleed them with fresh fluid. The PM needs good fluid on a continual basis. Use the vaccum method, much easier on the seals.
