Power Master - Problem or not?

My brakes seem to work great, but ever since I replaced the fluid in my reservoir, the pump will run a couple of seconds every time I depress the brakes. Is this a bleeding problem or is this normal. I remember that the pump should come on after depressing the brake pedal 2-3 times. The system holds pressure. I can leave it for a week and start the car an the pump doesn't run so it seems to hold pressure.
