Has anyone tried to bolt on a Power Glide to the Turbo Buicks? I havent heard of it but the only reason I ask is because my buddy at worked ask me about using a power glide for my GN and I told him I havent thought about it or dont even know if they could be modified to work..... anyone have any info for me? IE if its possible or why we dont try it. Thanks!

I use one. A turbo(chevy) trans adapter is all that is needed. As long as you keep the weight around 3000 or less it will pick up about 2/10's in the 1/4....at least that's what mine did:biggrin:
 
In a heavy car like a GN (3400) with a ordinary stock block build I'd have to think it will slow down. I use a glide in my own car but like the 3 speeds in 9 second cars. A heavy car without a lot of power seems to like the lower 1st gear of the 3 speeds.
