I ran into a weird problem with my powerlogger install , I did all the prep work and when I made the last conection the USB when I plug the wire to the powerlogger my car runs like crap, remove the cable and car runs great? Thanks to Rick he let me use his ECM and trouble shooting I am finishing my LC-1 now so I didn't take my car out but my guess is that was my problem ,I am getting a new cable to see if it's the cable or powerlogger? Thanks again Rick.

Looks like it's maybe the powerlogger itself had it on without the cable now and get a ses code # 42, I am going to try the powerlogger in another car and see what happens? It dosen't look anyone had the same problem as I am having .Just my luck I guess.:)

Sounds like what Direct Scan did if you seated the reader down to far.As far as I know, the power logger was supposed to address that issue that DS had.Have you tried posting your question on fullthrottletech.com?Bob Bailey is over there and he should be able to give you some ideas.

I tried sending Bob a Pm & an email and I haven't heard back from him yet so maybe he is busy? But I talked Mike at fullthrotte about it and he also said to try bob?I have it off the car now and no ses codes and car runs smooth so I am not sure ?Its brand new just got it from fullthrottle last week.

Did you try fullthrottletech.com??Try posting in the "Ask Bob" section on fullthrottletech.com

Generally, the powerlogger fits well when fully seated on the ECM edge connector.

There was one guy that was having wierd data errors that went away when the PL was pulled out slightly. One trick with DS was to put a toothpick or the straw from a WD-40 can in the bottom of the connector before plugging it onto the ECM.

Try these, and let me know. If there is a problem with the PL we will get it straightened out.

Bob

OK thanks Bob for getting back to me, I will try that and let you know I also just got a brand new ECM also so I can try thay as well.

Sorry Bob I tried to pull the powerlogger out slightly and same thing , I even put my new ECM in today , I removed the powerlogger and runs fine made one 23 psi run because scanmaster is still hooked up to the I/O block went off my LC-1, but did several 12 psi runs with no problems. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks .
