Does anyone have pro's and con's in regards to a Powerlogger VS a scantool?

Another question that cannot be answered other than with someone's opinion since you have not elaborated what your vehicle or build is now, or what is your goal with it?

Both items are useful, and in some cases mandatory, to provide useful data for both performance and reliability. :)

I just bought an 87 turbo regal that will be used for weekend driving, has 70k miles on it. I just had 42lb Injector/Chip Combo (Chip v5.7) installed. Along with a whole bunch of regular maint, new brakes, radiator, 160 thermostat, etc. I understand from other posts scanmaster is min required but if I get a powerlogger do I need the scanmaster?

Thank you!

You don't have to have the scanmaster to run the powerlogger. They do compliment each other well though. Without the scanmaster, you're flying blind if you don't have a laptop in the car.

I have a SM but only use it to set my TPS. I use PL for everything else.
