I have a 87 gn, the brake light comes on when i press brakes for about a second then goes off, I tried to dpresserize the system with key off 10 pumps then key on the motor runs about 12 seconds. Still get light when brakes are applied. So should I replace the accumulator ball (still original) or master cylinder next? Any ideas would be great!

could be the ball, could be the pressure switch on top.... that was my issue years ago.... what color is it? black or grey?

Whatever you do, you should do it very soon. Brake light on is not good.

accumulator ball ,FLUSH THE SYSTEM,CLEAN THE CHECK VALVE...RELEASE PRESSURE FIRST(PUMP BRAKES 10+TIMES.. GOOD LUCK!!!!

All of the above as recommended, and might as well get a fresh pressure switch too. SAVE YOUR O-RINGS. The aftermarket switch and accumulator do not include the correct O-rings.
