FWIW, if you go to AutoZone, Buy a Cardone PowerMaster for an 85 Caprice, same part number. They are only $311.99 no shipping.

AutoZone.com | Shopping | Parts | Product Detail - Brake Power Booster

For 85 Caprice:
AutoZone.com | Shopping | Parts | Product Detail - Brake Power Booster
One's a 52-9702
The other is a 52-9700

Totolally different systems (autozone pics are wrong on the caprice)

The product is only as good as the installer

I work for a National Auto Parts as a commercial Parts Pro & have every few returns on A1 Cardone, but when there are returns its usually the same mechanic that is returning parts

I agree, I have seen three Cardone units go out on buddies cars. One was less than a month old. There is a local uy that can rebuild my core for $200 but I dont really know if I trust that or not.

The caprice units are identical to the TB units. IA fellow board member and best friend of mine has one on his car. It's been working well for 2 years. When he bought it, it was only $169 without a core. Prices sure have gone up since then.

I have (2) with warranty. Units are rebuilds using AC Delco parts. $325 plus your unit and actual shipping.
