Hi. I'm new...
The car i'm looking at getting has a 6262 on it, but I'm wondering if this is what people are using to get into the 10s. I've read a few articles and watched a ton of youtube videos and it seems quite a few people have different opinions. Would I be better suited with a larger turbo and selling off this 6262

The car is an 86 GN by the way.

I've been told so by many people I personally don't know yet but bison ran into the 9s with a 6265 so I tend to believe what hes got to say about them

I've heard of a pt52 making it to the hi 10s and 6262 is bigger and newer it's capable of low 10s from what I've heard in fact I ordered a dual ball bearing 6262

The 6262 can certainly run 10s but it's not the turbo, it's the combination and tune. You need to put a full list of mods in your signature so we can better advise you.

Post up the mods before you buy the car ( if you know them),it may already be a 10sec car, more then likely if someone bought the 6262 which is a newer tech turbo they would have most of the supporting mods I would think.. otherwise just bolting it up to a stock car it would be a dog. and spool slower then the stocker.

I have a 6265 and can consistent high tens...Did it with my 6262 as well...The turbo won't be the problem, but the rest of the set up could hold you back...Like mentioned above get the details of what your looking to buy and report back....

My buddy's Gn made 530rwhp and 620 rwtq!!! With a 6262 with stock bottom end stock cam, ported intake and ported iron heads . Brought the car up to bison to sort out and setup the tune on c16 with TT chips . Bison does great a great job ! :)

I run the 6262 journal bearing and based on my 1/8 mile time, it should run in the 10's. See combo in sig.
