Are all Precision .63 exhaust housings the same size for a 3-bolt turbo? I know this is probably a dumb question, but I just want to make sure. I have an Innovative dual BB turbo and the wastegate hole was made a little larger and I want to replace it with a non-modified one. Thanks.

the physical size of the hsg IS the same but - depending on the exhaust wheel - the hole is different size.... [ie DONT EXPECT TO FIT A HSG FROM A Q TRIM ON A stage 3, 5, P, S, whatever] the exhaust wheels must match the hsg. HTH

RJC Racing makes a thin metal plate that can go between the downpipe/puck and the turbo housing with a smaller hole in it.

That will block off the large hole and allow you to use the smaller one in the plate for actual boost control.

Some have used it with good results.

I have the RJC plate, but I am just concerned that it will have problems. No reason for thinking this, but it is just another part. Since Innovative is out of business, how do I find out what size I need. I believe the original told me it was a P-trim. Is that what I look for?

A p-trim is a standard exhaust wheel.

I'd double check the stats. on it, I believe there is a chart or diagram over on gnttype.org with wheels on it and hopefully diameters and fin count.

You probably have to remove your housing and measure the wheel and count the fins on it to make double sure of exactly what you have.

I believe my DBB Innovative GT70 p-trim has a standard garrett housing on it with normal sized hole about 1" in it.

I will look for a picture I may have of the exhaust wheel for it to post.

I don't have a clear view of my p-trim wheel but in the picture below you can see the P stamped above the wastegate hole which most likely was done by Garrett or Innovative for the exhaust housing to match the wheel.

Perhaps yours has this mark also which would help shed some light on what exhaust wheel you have.
