Precision 6780 GTQ journal bearing turbo. Has S cover with 4" inlet and 2.5" outlet on the compressor side. Exhaust housing is .63 a/r. Wastegate puck hole has been ported to approximately 1.3 inches. This was done to match my ATR external gate downpipe. I believe RJC sells a 1.625 inch puck if wanting to use an internal wastegate downpipe. Never had a single issue with this turbo. Only selling because my goals with the car changed. Turbo probably has about 5000 miles on it. Asking $550 or best offer within the U.S. Pictures to follow. Please ask any questions you have. Thanks.

To the top and good luck with the sell

I have used this plate on turbos that need a lil smaller WG hole. Works real well

Thanks, that's exactly what I was thinking of. Part #RJC-WGA-L (Waste Gate Assembly Large). We opened up the hole not only to match my external gate downpipe, but to make sure boost creep didn't occur. One of my friends uses this puck on his internal gate downpipe with a large turbo and said it works great as well.

It works.....When I first put my turbo on I had to port it to keep the boost form creeping then I added alky and couldnt get over 21 psi......used the RJC plate and all was well.

Judging from Precision's list of Buick turbos it is around 800 HP, maybe a little more. The 6776 was listed at 780 and this appears to be the next step up from that. My ET's were not impressive because I couldn't get a good 60 ft. I didn't think my converter was loose enough or that the turbo was too big for my combo, so I swapped turbos only to later find out that both of my headers were leaking. With the header leaks I was still able to run 121 mph with a crappy 2.1 sec 60 ft. The reason I'm selling this turbo and not my other one is that my goals have changed for the car. I'm only looking for a 10.99 ET and knowledgeable people from this board as well as Precision's employees have told me the 6780 GTQ is really a low 10 to high 9 second turbo.

This is an s cover 6780. With a different compressor cover this thing will flow 76-78lbs/min(possibly more) and support over 800hp. It takes a lot if engine to get that much out of it. A PTC 9.5" should be used with it.

Bison, thanks for the input. You're definitely one of the most knowledgeable people on this subject.

Jimmy, I'm no expert at choosing converters since there are so many aspects of a combo that can affect it. I would say for sure something in the mid to high 3ooo rpm range is necessary. May want to shoot Dusty Bradford message. Do you have a trans brake?

Sounds about right, definitely interested, I know you said no issues but have to ask, any shaft play??

As far as in and out along the axis, nothing. Side to side around the diameter there is a slight amount, but it is a journal bearing and does need clearance so it can ride on a film of oil. Just being honest, but I wouldn't hesitate to put it back on my car if I could use it. To be up front there are two other people interested and I have received an offer from one of them, but not as high as I was hoping. Not trying to pressure you or anything though. I want to make sure that whoever buys it is happy with it.

Nice and clean. No broken fins or grooves in the housing.
